Inspiring leadership key to economic buoyancy

THE EDITOR, Sir:
SO I see Dr. Davies is concerned that the economy is moving in the wrong direction. However, I am more concerned that Dr. Davies, to this day fails to realise that the economic problems of Jamaica will not be solved by adopting fancy economic models from the University of Chicago or the London School of Economics.
Jamaica needs the kind of leadership that will inspire the nation and give life to new ideas and the exchange of ideas, so that we can develop a home-grown economic system that will transform our beautiful island into the tropical paradise that it was always meant to be.
