RBTT wage talks today

THE MINISTRY of Labour
and Social Security has scheduled a meeting for today
to seek to
re-solve the
pay dispute
at RBTT Bank Jamaica Limited.
The workers have been restive over the past week, after wage talks between the management and the Bustamante Industrial Trades Union (BITU) broke down at the local level. The union is demanding that workers' salaries be increased commensurate with current markets rates, but the management says it cannot afford that level of pay increase.
