'Our engineers are failing us'
THE BUILDING industry has failed to have the impact it should on the Jamaican society despite contributing more than 10 per cent to domestic earnings.

30 welders to receive training in new technology
SOME 30 Jamaican welders are to be trained in the use of two high-quality welding processes ­ Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) or TIG welding, and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), frequently referred to as MIG welding.


More than 70 papers secured for electronics conference
THE LOCAL Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers has secured over 70 technical papers so far of the targeted 100 for presentation at the IEEE Southeast Conference that the Jamaica section will be hosting from April 4-6.
