NWA repairs St Catherine roadways
published: Wednesday | January 22, 2003

By Ruth Coombs, Freelance Writer

LINSTEAD, St. Catherine:

OVER 11 roads in North West St. Catherine have now been repaired under the Government's Rural Road Improvement Programme.

Touring sections of these roads yesterday, works overseer for the National Works Agency (NWA) in St. Catherine, Douglas Moodie, and Member of Parliament for North West St. Catherine, Robert Pickersgill pointed out that the cost of repairing the roads will run into millions of dollars.

Mr. Moodie said these are interior roads in the populated communities of the constituency and motorists frequently complain of their vehicles being damaged.

The NWA said road repairs include sections of Middleton, Rose Hall, Rosemount, Commodore, sections of Ewarton and other roads.

Drivers who ply these routes have expressed satisfaction at these roads being repaired.
