published: Thursday | January 30, 2003

WAITRESS, SHEENA Crowl, and secretary, Josin Hamilton, are joint winners of the 'Employee Of The Year' award for 2002, at SuperClubs' Grand Lido Braco resort in Trelawny.

Crowl was voted top line employee, with Renetta Miller, a room attendant, the runner-up. Hamilton was chosen the most outstanding clerical employee, with accounts clerk, Dwayne Thompson in second place.

Bar supervisor, Coreen Chin-Lynch, is the resort's Supervisor Of The Year, and her runner-up is Denesia Robb, a housekeeping supervisor.

Entertainment manager, Velicea Baugh, took the Manager Of The Year trophy, while purchasing department driver, Patrick McKoy, and social director, Tamika Higgins, shared the General Manager's Award honour.

Marsha Vickers, Clayton Clarke and Juliet Welch share the honours as the three top employees of the year for 2002, at SuperClubs' Grand Lido Negril resort.

Vickers, a front desk receptionist, is the 'Clerical Employee Of The Year'. Clarke, a bar porter, is the 'Line Employee Of The Year', and Welch, a purchasing assistant, is the resort's 'Heart Of The House' (little interfacing with guests) top team member.

Barry Barnes, manager of Grand Lido Negril's French restaurant, 'Piacere', is 'Manager Of The Year', and sanitation supervisor, Leo Porter, the 'Supervisor Of The Year'.

The resort's spa was designated Department Of The Year.

The resort's general manager, Brian Drew, described the winners as "pillars of Jamaica's important tourism industry". Drew said they were among Grand Lido's finest team members, consistently displaying exemplary character standard and work ethics well worthy of emulation.
