The following are responses to Vernon Daley's column headlined "Patterson's poor values and attitudes," which appeared last week.
Congratulations V for calling a spade a spade. Your article shows a lot of courage, and you called it like it is. Congrats on a great piece of journalism.
-Damion Simon
P.J. Patterson was after history. He made it (due to the folly of the Jamaican people). He has been there for 14 years and has been just the visionless Prime Minister he is.
-Angela Cross
Very good article, sir. However, one point seems to have passed you by. Mr Patterson has a history of 'scandals' dogging him, and it's hard for pot to call kettle black.

Until we as a people come together and stop voting for "the party I like" and vote for the party that will do the most good for the country, we will forever be mired down with the corrupt country we have become.
-Rowena Saunders
I must say that I truly agree with your column in today's Gleaner. I am one who has come to the conclusion that our Prime Minister is lacking in integrity, and so too a few of his Ministers.
-Errin Adams
Mr. Daley, I just had to respond to your article on "attitudes and values" in today's Gleaner. In the first instance it is the best piece of commentary on domestic issues I have read on any of the online media sites. Why? It smacks of the pure and simple truth and the daily occurrences in Jamaica stand as a testimony to your assessment.
-Peter Levy
I have been following these stories myself and it really bothered me. You hit the nail right on the head. Patterson will never stamp out corruption.
-Patricia Reid
We have never met but I want to express my respect for you. Not because you state the obvious in your article about Patterson, but because you have the civil courage to publish what you think and have come to believe.
