Ignore the warmongers

THE EDITOR, Sir:
SEVEN ASTRONAUTS die in a quest for knowledge and it dominates the TV news programmes, the national press, and the world questions the logic of the sending humans into space. The tragic deaths of many more people, in a train smash in Zimbabwe, in an explosion in Nigeria, a hotel fire in China, fireworks explosion in China, and others, receive barely a mention.
Every day young children die in the streets and the world ignores them why? Why is it when some people die it is like nothing but when certain people die from so-called high-power countries the world gets nervous? Am I missing something? I wonder if these same media people are going to give us the exact amount of dead innocent Iraqi children when the world gets rid of them. I hope they lay flowers for them. I hope they light candles for them. I hope the tribunal in The Hague is ready to try some of these monsters that call themselves world leaders. I wonder also if those kids are going to get a decent burial.
I will leave by asking the people of Jamaica to try to listen to every speech that Mr. Nelson Mandela is giving and ignore the warmongers because all they preach is kill, kill, and kill.
