Brain drain
published: Friday | February 14, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I have noticed over the years Jamaican nurses and now teachers are migrating. While I am not against people travelling they are trained in Jamaica at the expense of taxpayers. They are leaving to a country where they would have to pay for their training.

They should be made to pay back the Government for their training before leaving. So they would be able to help some hopefully more needy and grateful students.

I am, etc.,
