THE EDITOR, Sir:I READ your article in The Gleaner dated the 13th February 2003, under the caption: "St. Aubyn Missing in Action".
I must confess that I was extremely surprised by the contents, as I have been working closely with the residents and the various Citizens Associations in Eastern St. Andrew, during my campaign and more so, after the General Election. In fact, a week has not passed that I have not attended meetings/functions and addressing matters affecting the residents throughout the constituency.
My office is equipped with two telephone numbers 929-1787 and 968-8470. I have a full-time secretary between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Furthermore, I have not received any form of correspondence from Sylvia Brown-Burke. My staff and I have gone through the Voter List with a view to finding an address for her, but unfortunately, she is not on the List.
Will Sylvia Brown-Burke please call me as soon as possible or write to 5 Oxford Road, Kingston 5.
I am indeed your Member of Parliament and certainly not missing.
I am, etc.,
Dr ST. AUBYN BARTLETT, MP
Eastern St. Andrew
