Coast Guard gets high-speed boats

The Jamaica Coast Guard recently got three high-speed boats, courtesy of the United States Government to enhance the work with drug interdiction. The Coast Guard recently received the vessels, which arrived at the Port of Kingston, and has since started training. The vessels will be officially handed over shortly. Looking at one of the vessels from left are Lt Cdr Richard Russell of the Maritime Authority of Jamaica; Lt Cdr Sydney Innis, Acting Commanding Officer of the Jamaica Coast Guard; Loxley Tulloch, the General Manager of Grace Kennedy (Shipping) Company (GKS) Limited, agents for the vessel EL Caney, which carried the boats; Patrick Fogarty, Narcotic Affairs Assistant at the US Embassy and Ainsley McDonald, Operations Manager at GKS.
