In defence of Roaring River

THE EDITOR, Sir:
IN DEFENCE of the community of Roaring River, I as a tourist recently spent my second year in a row in Jamaica. Last year we came across this beautiful community and met some of the most gracious and hospitable people across the entire island.
We returned to Roaring River in January and were welcomed into the community with open arms and actually enjoyed our time there far more than anywhere else we had stayed. This community has my respect and will remain one of my favourite places. I would much rather stay there than be in MoBay or Negril where there is no rest from the hustlers. Roaring River to me is the best place to get away from all that.
