THE REV. Devon Dick, pastor of the Boulevard Baptist Church in St. Andrew, will this week launch in Montego Bay his book, 'Rebellion to Riot: The Jamaican Church in Nation Building'.
Scheduled for the St. James Parish Library, the event will take place on Thursday, April 3, starting at 5 p.m. and members of the public are invited.
The launch has been organised by Ian Randle Publishers, in association with Montego Bay Writers Club. There will be a question and answer session where Rev. Dick will field questions.
The book examines the leading role played by the church since 1865 in creating the new Jamaica through evangelism, education, political activism and economic empowerment.
The book will be available at a discounted price at the launch and Rev. Dick will be available to autograph copies.
