THE OWNERS of the Grand Lido Sans Souci Hotel in St. Mary have taken a decision to put the hotel on the market for sale.
In a statement sent out by VRL Services, an affiliate of the SuperClubs hotel chain which has the management contract for Sans Souci, a decision was also taken by the owners, Carreras Group, to terminate the management agreement. Carreras has indicated that it will be putting in place its own interim management.
The termination, the statement said, has given rise to a dispute between the owners and the management company which will shortly be the subject of arbitration proceedings. It also noted that VRL Services has consented to continue to manage the hotel until April 30, 2003 to facilitate the transition.
The hotel will thereafter be known as Sans Souci Resort and Spa.
