THE EDITOR, Sir:
"MASSIVE BOMB dropped in residential neighbourhood". For a time I thought this was another Al-Qaeda terrorist attack, but on reading further on CNN website I discovered it was a US terrorist attack on a residential neighbourhood in Baghdad.
It is plain to me that the United States of America threatens the stability of the world. For the time being nothing can be done about it, but I have some advice for Russia and China, improve your military, spend on your national defence, improve and increase your nuclear stockpile because if militarily the USA believes that it can defeat Russia or China with minimum effort and loss of American lives, both countries could be next on the axis of evil list.
I also have some advice for North Korea: do not let the USA use the UN to weaken your country's national defence, as they have done to Iraq. Continue to develop your nuclear weapons, because it is one sure way of defence against the terrorist state USA that drops cluster bombs on innocent Iraqi women and children.
While those at home in the US applaud by pushing wonderful approval ratings for Bush, we all see the true American spirit, patriotism over principle. It is bad and incomprehensible when the World Trade Centre is attacked and innocent lives are losts, but it is collateral damage when pregnant Iraqi women and babies are killed.
I am sorry, but I will buck the trend, I even go further, if the innocent people of Iraq who are being slaughtered by Bush, are collateral damage, then so too the victims of 9/11.
