Lime Cay is near paradise
published: Thursday | April 10, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

ON SUNDAY March 23, I visited Lime Cay with our Miss Jamaica Bikini and Mr. Fitness competition group and our eyes were opened to a Jamaica I never knew existed, even though I have lived here all my life. I saw a beautiful beach, big powerful boats moving up and down with the waves and beautiful people getting their suntan; and it is so close to Kingston.

We thank Dr. Franklin Johnston, the Consultant for Lime Cay Jamaica, for his assistance in making this trip possible and I hope the new management will permit more Jamaicans like us to visit and share the experience. However, a few suggestions: as a non-swimmer I would like to see a lifeguard on the beach and some beach chairs and shade for those of us who have a God-given suntan. We don't mind paying something for it.

Some of our ladies were inconvenienced by having to scamper down a ladder from the boat into the water, some alliterative is needed. Good life-jackets are also needed in the boats and maybe some bigger boats for those of us who need something to hold on to during the ride.

Lime Cay is near paradise. We will never forget the trip.

I am, etc.,
