Thanks to the citizens of Clarendon
published: Wednesday | April 30, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

PLEASE ALLOW me the opportunity to express appreciation to the citizens of Clarendon in general and the Clarendon Chamber of Commerce, the Police Civic Committee, the Neighbourhood Watch/Youth Club Councils in particular, the Clarendon Police and the Commissioner for their support and affording me the privilege to serve over the past 13 months.

To the Citizens and Chamber of Clarendon, you provided overwhelming support during my tenure, resulting in the achievement of several of our objectives.

To the Clarendon police, thank you for working tirelessly with great loyalty and commitment to keep Clarendon safe under trying circumstances.

To the Commissioner of Police, thank you sir, for providing me the distinct honour of serving Clarendon. Your confidence in me, your support and guidance during my five consecutive commands, Flying Squad, Portland, St Mary, St Thomas and now Clarendon were invaluable.

I remain committed to the work of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. Many thanks and God speed to all.

I am, etc.,

W. C. CLARKE

Superintendent of Police,

Clarendon

Divisional Headquarters
