Looking on is vice president Pam Landell. - Contributed THE Business House Netball Association now has a place to call home with a secretariat set up at Shop 8B in the Kingston Mall complex.
"It took us a while but we finally achieved it and I'm extremely proud," said former president Jasneith Harvey who was guest speaker at the opening ceremony last Thursday.
The BHNA started in 1973 and prior to last week had no official residence for its file equipment.
Beaming with pride, current president Theda King cut the ribbon to the new office that was blessed by Reverend Dalton Grenyion.
"As a result of this we can now be more efficient in our day to day dealings. We are up to date technologically and results and other such information will be readily available," she said.
The secretariat, meanwhile, will also have a new administrative assistant with Shereel Wilks taking over from Millicent Laing who will be moving to Canada.
To show its appreciation to Laing for her many years of service, the BHNA bestowed on her the honour of being a life member to join Pam Chin, Carrol Christian, Beverly McDonald and Harvey.
Among those at the ceremony were Jamaica Netball Association president, Molly Rhone, company representatives, umpires, coaches, players and other netball officials.
