Correction and Clarification
published: Sunday | May 4, 2003

THE SUNDAY Gleaner of the 27th April 2003 carried an article in its Business Section, 'MP's company defaults, Omega among six in court for failure to pay back MicroFin funds'.

A photograph was published along with the article captioned 'Lawson'.

The article made reference to a Margaret Lawson in relation to Stacelaw Financial Services' failure to repay debts due to the MicroFin project.

The photograph published was actually that of Margaret Rose and not Margaret Lawson, the operator of Stacelaw Financial Services.

The Gleaner Company is satisfied that Margaret Rose has no connection whatsoever with Stacelaw and that she has not borrowed from nor is she indebted to the MicroFin Fund.

The correct photograph is published and the Gleaner Company Limited unreservedly apologises to Margaret Rose for any damage to her reputation and any inconvenience that she has suffered as a result of this error.
