Save children, save our nation
published: Monday | May 5, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE ARTICLE "Children of a Lesser God" published on Sunday, April 20, 2003, and written by Betty Ann Blaine, has left me appalled. I have no reason to doubt that the information given is the whole truth.

From what was said led me to believe that Jamaica is heading for destruction, and unless we as a people do something to remedy the situation we will be totally destroyed in a decade.

If our inner city children can neither read nor write and they will stone dogs and old people for fun, then it's time for us to try and rescue them. We all need to contribute funds to help save our nation. Something must be done urgently.

I am, etc.,
