National junior female squad host three-game series

THE NATIONAL female Junior Volleyball Squad get their first taste of competition today when they take on the Bethel College team from Indiana, USA in the first of three matches.

That game will be followed up by one tomorrow and one on Wednesday. The games will take place at the University of Technology and University of the West Indies and will see 12 of the 23-member squad on display.

National champions, Wolmer's Girls top the list with nine selections, along with one each from Alpha, St. Hugh's and Old Harbour.

Those selected are: Keisha Edwards, Najwa Pagon, Renae Temple, Ashareen Maxwell, Cherie Thompson, Latoya Fonty, Chaday Taylor, Shaunette March, Aveniki Campbell - Wolmer's; Tanice Burke - Old Harbour; Ketheyna Spence - St. Hugh's; and Laphian Atterbury - Alpha.

Matches are set to begin at 8:00 p.m. each evening. Admission $100 for adults; $50 for children.
