Bartlett praises Windies
published: Wednesday | May 14, 2003

OPPOSITION SPOKESMAN on tourism and sport, Member of Parliament Ed Bartlett yesterday showered praise on the West Indies team following their historic victory in the fourth Test at the Antigua Recreation Ground.

In offering congratulations to the West Indies team, the former Minister of Sport described the victory as "one that has brought back pride to West Indies cricket and reminds of the great days of West Indies dominance.

"This young team has shown the mettle, the grit and the determination which under inspired leadership leads to greatness.

"This victory is a great tonic to West Indies cricket and will no doubt lift the game, will bring the fans across the region back to cricket, and we look forward to an exciting one-day series starting at Sabina Park on Saturday."
