Ja must pull together

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I WISH to congratulate the Minister of Finance, Dr. Omar Davies, for his forthright attempt at improving our financial affairs. We had been hearing from critics how difficult it would have been for him in presenting a budget this year. But given the framework and style of his presentation, Dr. Davies appears to have done very well in satisfying the interest of tax-payers across the board.
Already he has been having sector meetings to carve out solutions and make changes where necessary so that we can have a well organised and well managed financial system. The task now remains for Jamaicans to pull together to make the best of a complex and troubling global arena.
