Remove Dr. Davies
published: Wednesday | May 28, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IT IS full time the people of Jamaica take a firm grip on their life and stop allowing politicians to make decisions for them. "How many times should we cry and say, bwoy nutten nah gwaan?"

If they cannot let things 'gwaan' for us, then it would be good to elect only those who care to represent, to make our community and country a better place in which to live.

There is too much 'blam sham' and corruption in the system and each time they misrepresent us, we pay the penalty. "How long are we going to allow this to happen? Do we care about ourselves, or only those who claim to represent us?"

It is my firm belief that the public should know how much money is in the 'kitty', how much is borrowed, how much is spent and what it is spent on. I really want to know how our money is spent, since every time there is a deficit in the budget, we are being called to pay more taxes (I wonder when it will stop).

I really don't believe in paying more taxes because the government (particularly Dr. Davies) has misrepresented us.

As for Dr. Davies and his advisors, I think you have all done your time and should be removed from the Ministry.

Please I am begging you, allow someone to run the Ministry who has the capability and national interest at heart.

"What a way the exchange rate affecting us." It is really flicking like a butterfly and stinging us like a bee.

I am, etc.,

LEON CLAIR

Mocho P.O.
