I WOULD like to add my congratulations to young Trudy McLeary for doing so well in the Scripps Howard Spelling Bee competition in Washington D.C.
Trudy has shown us what hard work, dedication and determination can do and she is a shining example of all that is good about Jamaica.
Well done Trudy. May you take this winning formula with you throughout your life. And to The Gleaner Company which has sponsored participation in this championship for the sixth year running, may I also congratulate you for your foresight and commitment to education in Jamaica.
