Boys' Town still on top

BOYS' TOWN, paced by a match haul of 11 for 83 from left-arm spinner Phillip Keating, defeated Kingston & St. Andrew by 69 runs at Maxfield Park On Sunday to maintain their lead in Zone B of the Jamaica Cricket Association's (JCA) Senior League competition.

Scores: Boys' Town 172 - Omar Campbell 77, Marlon Miller 4 for 60, Gregory Nation 3 for 18), and 156 - Campbell 45, Nation 3 for 36; KSACA 94 - Jermaine McKenzie 20, Keating 5 for 20, Courtney Oconnor 5 for 27, and 176 - McKenzie 44, Brown 36, Shawn Beckford 36, Keating 6 for 62, Oconnor 3 for 58.

AT ELGIN TOWN: Manchester bounced back after losing first innings points to defeat hosts Hanover by eight wickets at Elgin Town.

Scores: Hanover 112 - Uriel Samuels 3 for 28, David Powell 3 for 24, and 61 - David Powell 5 for 16; Manchester 61 - Canute Ferguson 4 for 10, Gregory Williams 4 for 20, and 89 for two - Orville Pennant 55 not out.

AT FOLLY: Portland, led by a match-haul of 13 for 31 from Godfrey Flemmings defeated St. Thomas by nine wickets.

Scores: St. Thomas 76 - Flemmings 7 for 17, and 111 - Flemmings 6-14; Portland 162 - Floyd Johnson 36, Clinton Bent 6-46, and 26 for one.

AT WESTMORELAND OVAL: A second innings century by Tyson Gordon, 101 not out, could not prevent St. Mary from losing first innings points to Tivoli.

Scores: Tivoli 168 - Omar Hamilton 65, and 239 for six declared - Phillip Wright 65, Gary Pink 57, Curtis Francis 46; St. Mary 124 - Junior Meikle 4 for 40, Francis 3 for 15, and 157 for five - Gordon 101 not out.

AT JARRETT PARK: Clarendon took first innings points from St. James.

Scores: St. James 180 - Nicarlo McFarlane 47, Vinroy Crooks 46, Dwight Stewart 4 for 40; Clarendon 209 for five - Sadique Brown 68, McFarlane 3-52.

AT ELLESTON ROAD: Trelawny edged out Police for first innings points.

Scores: Trelawny 246 - Lorenzo Ingram 148 not out, Chris Gordon 5 for 49, and 114 - Ralston Nelson 4 for 31, Omar Housen 3 for 25; Police 230 - Marvin James 46, Ricardo Howe 39, Ingram 5 for 46, and 47 for three.
