Attorneys and the Judiciary
published: Wednesday | June 4, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WILL refrain from challenging Mr. Owen S. Crosbie on the curious syntax contained in his letter published in your edition of the May 20.

The logic of his "considered opinion" cannot escape some query, however, and I write to ask that he provide some credible and specific authority for his assertion that Parliamentary privilege does not extend to attorneys, if they are critical of the Judiciary.

Unfortunately, his opinion, as expressed in his letter, appears to magically support itself in thin air.

I am, etc.,
