Questions for the NHF
published: Wednesday | June 18, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

ON JUNE 2nd I read an article about the National Health Fund(NHF) registration. I would like to know if you could give some more information about the NHF. I have spoken to several persons in Jamaica and they had no idea what I was talking about. I would like to know how do citizens of local communities sign up for NHF registration? Are there certain places that citizens should go in order to be placed on the registration list?

I am very interested about the communities of Mountainside and Ridge Pen, St. Elizabeth. These two communities have a large population of citizens suffering from the chronic illnesses that the NHF covers, but these citizens are not aware of what the NHF is or how to go about the registration process. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am, etc.,
