PORT MARIA, St. Mary:

THE TURNOUT of voters at the two polling stations set up at the Port Maria Court House for members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force in St. Mary was very low.

Up to 3:18 p.m. out of the 172 persons listed in station J-Y only 39 persons had voted and in the station A-H of the 301 listed only 39 had voted.

A similar situation existed at the Whitehorn Barracks in Port Maria as of the 81 soldiers listed only 11 voted up to 3:45 p.m. Everything was smooth and no disturbance at all at the polling stations.
