CVM TV has appointed Andrea Messam, its finance and administration manager, as the new general manager of Hot 102, the Montego Bay-based radio station it acquired recently.
Mrs. Messam has been on secondment at the station since CVM TV acquired the majority shareholding.
In a release, chairman of the television and radio stations, Neville Blythe, said "Mrs. Messam is the ideal candidate for this job and I'm confident that with her leadership, Hot 102, in alliance with CVM TV, will prove to be a formidable force on the media landscape." He said the existing management team at the station would remain in place.
Mrs. Messam, a Chartered Accountant by profession, brings to HOT 102 a wealth of experience in media, finance and administration management, the release said.
Other members of the board are chairman, Robert Russell, who also held that position under the previous owners; Donald Rainford, Lennie Little-White, Dr. David McBean, Wayne Smith and Kenardo Williams. Company Secretary is Thelma Miller.
