The staff at Medical Associates

THE EDITOR, Sir:
ON JUNE 6, 2003 I had terrible pain in my left ear. I am living next door to the KPH and in the wee hours of that morning, to be exact it was 2:15 a.m. when I barely made it through the gates on into their casualty dept. I went to the desk where I explained my situation to the nurse who looked at me and her remarks were, "go and see if the doctor can help you." I leaned my head and slowly opened my mouth and told the doctor what was wrong, her comment was go home take a pack of Excedrin and come back 7:30.
There were three doctors and about three nurses in the emergency dept doing nothing but chit-chatting so I left and went home. When my fiancé saw me he couldn't believe the nil treatment I received at that hour of the morning so he took a cab and brought me to Medical Associates where I was pleasantly welcomed, treated like a human being and well taken care of.
I just want to say a big thanks to all the workers, staff and medical team who saw my need that morning. Last but not least thanks to Allan, Curleen, Nurse Anderson, my therapist and George Powell.
