THE EDITOR, Sir:
ON MARCH, 1, 2003, a letter addressed to me here in Ocho Rios, was posted in Colchester, Essex, registered No. RI 195857142 GB INT., to be signed for on receipt. The said letter was scanned at Chelmsford, Essex and in London on March, 3, 2003, and dispatched to Jamaica from London by airmail on the March, 3, 2003. Up to the date of writing, however, I have not received that letter.
On March, 28, 2003, I called the Central Sorting Office (CSO) and enquired about the letter in question, but the only information I was able to get from the lady to whom I spoke was that she could not find the letter.
On the April, 9, 2003, the sender of the letter in question, wrote to Dr. Blossom O'Meally-Nelson, Postmaster-General and CEO of the Postal Corporation of Jamaica, enquiring about the letter in question. The letter to Dr. Blossom O'Meally-Nelson was also registered, RI 194609325 GB and indicated that it should have been signed for on receipt. But up to May, 31, 2003, there was no reply.
On the December 30, 2002, another letter was posted to me here in Ocho Rios, from an address in Florida, USA, which (although not registered) also contained a valuable article. But to date, I have not received that letter either.
What's happening at the Postal Corporation of Jamaica? Will Dr. Blossom O'Meally-Nelson please speak?
