THREE FATHERS - two veterans and one rookie - were honoured at Sandals Ocho Rios recently.

Osbourne Stewart from the Maintenance Department and Henry Cameron from Team Housekeeping received special gifts from the resort for being fathers who had carried out their roles effectively for a number of years.

Patrick Kennedy was hailed for being the youngest father on property.

The remaining were all feted at a special luncheon where they were served mouthwatering meals by females team members at the hotel.

The day was a special one as greeting poured from well-wishers for all the fathers who were moved by the gesture.

The fathers were hailed as heroes by public relations manager Ian Spencer, who said that although fathers were being given a bad rap within the society there were many who were still doing an outstanding job and were role models.

Spencer said Cameron and Stewart and many others at the resort had showed the way for others to follow.
