Absentee ballots for Jamaicans abroad?
THE EDITOR, Sir: I KNOW that several people are going to come at me for this but as a Jamaican who lives in the United States I want to have a say in the running of my country.

Gambling disaster
THE EDITOR, Sir I AM worried about the future of our country and the impending damage being done by the gambling explosion. Gambling is now our favourite pastime.

Is the US above International Law?
THE EDITOR, Sir: IT IS sad to say that since the horrific events of 9/11, the United States has been acting like a wounded monster, lashing out at anyone and any country that it perceives to be a potential threat.

JLP's vain utterances
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WRITE this article in reference to utterances that I have both heard and read made by the JLP, it's youth groups and other affiliated groups after the local government elections recently.

A chance for change
THE EDITOR: Sir IN THE recent Parish Council elections the people spoke.

Better late than never
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WRITE in response to the article by Dr. Don Robotham, in Sunday's Gleaner (6/7/2003) entitled, 'Wanted: A Strong Black Bourgeoisie'.

For a cleaner Falmouth
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM a past resident of Falmouth, now living in the UK. I come home each year and each year I get more disgusted with the state of what was once a beautiful town.

Drs Jennifer Bent and Michelle Lee
THE EDITOR, Sir: PLEASE ALLOW me to express my thanks to Drs. Jennifer M. Bent of Peck Street, Linstead, and Michelle Lee of the University of West Indies (UWI).

Questions on crime
THE EDITOR, Sir: We all are perturbed about the level of crime in our country. We have many questions for which we want answers.
