Road woes
published: Wednesday | July 16, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM aware that some major road work will be done in Manchester, and specifically, in Baker's Common. However, I would like to appeal to the National Works Agency, the Councillor and the MP, that the road leading to the parish tank (where most of the people live) in Baker's Common gets some attention.

That road has never been fixed. My granddad lived in that district all his life until his death in 2000, at 112 years old, and he has never seen that road in a better condition than it is in today. We are appealing to the authorities, please pay some attention to this section of the road, we deserve better.

I am, etc.,

A. WILSON
