THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE ARTICLE by Peter Espeut entitled "We ain't an island state", was very enlightening. In fact, it was a social studies lesson for me and my co-workers. We all thought St. Catherine was the largest parish and Black River, the longest river. I was aware of the other small islands surrounding the mainland, but didn't know they were actually inhabited.

Could Mr Espeut, or someone else, provide the answers to the questions he asked, because I have not been able to find anyone so far who is able to do so? I am looking forward to this information as I believe it is very important that we Jamaicans know the facts about our home country.

I am, etc.,
