Jamaica Gleaner Letters
published: Wednesday | July 23, 2003

A case of history repeating itself
THE EDITOR, Sir: IT WAS most illuminating to read the contribution of Dr. Alan Eyre on June 29, 2003.

Never worked with RBTT Bank
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE MANAGEMENT of RBTT Bank, after detailed internal investigation, has determined that the young woman in the photographs which have unfortunately been circulated on the Internet, was never an employee of RBTT Bank.

The sweetest burden ever
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WANT to comment on the 'colour' question as raised by Dawn Ritch in her 'White Man's Burden' article in a recent edition of The Sunday Gleaner and Melville Cooke's responses.

Real democracy and national development
THE EDITOR, Sir: NOW THAT the Local Government Elections are over, we have three years to carry out genuine reform of this area of governance. I propose full separation of Central and Local Government.

Very unfair visa policy
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WRITE on the matter of obtaining entry to the United States.

Can the Gov't fight crime now?
THE EDITOR, Sir: WHEN IS the Government going to move to do something about the illegal taxi operators and the whole taxi system in this country?

Jamaican mannerisms
THE EDITOR, Sir: THIS YEAR, after an absence of two years, I plan to visit lovely Jamaica for the 18th time.

Thank you, Mr. Stewart
THE EDITOR, Sir: I TOOK a bus from St. Mary to go to work. Upon reaching work, I realised that I had lost my cellular phone.

Distressing!
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE PHOTOGRAPH of the two motorcyclists which appeared on page A11 of Monday's Gleaner is distressing.

Investigation is needed
THE EDITOR, Sir: I HAVE to agree with the two gentlemen who wrote in and expressed their concerns about the unfortunate situation of this young lady whose pictures were sent over the Internet against her will.
