Thank you, Mr. Stewart
published: Wednesday | July 23, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I TOOK a bus from St. Mary to go to work. Upon reaching work, I realised that I had lost my cellular phone. I got really concerned because it was given to me by my mother. I take two buses each morning, so I had no idea on which of the buses I had lost my phone.

I decided to call my number. When I called it, someone actually answered. He told me where he had found it and arranged to return the phone to me.

I was late for the first meeting so he went home. Moreover, we are total strangers but he still made an effort to return the phone. The second meeting was successful and the phone was returned.

I want to say thank you again to Mr. Stewart. I really appreciate the trouble that you went through to return the phone. I wished that there were more people like Mr. Stewart, because he has proven that there are still honest people living in Jamaica. I just wish that some of us would take a page out of Mr. Stewart's book.

I am, etc.,

DEON MCLEARY

Castleton P.O.
