New chaplain for the Port of Kingston

REVEREND LEIGHTON Christopher Mason of the Portmore United Church has been appointed new Chaplain for the Port of Kingston. Reverend Mason, who succeeds Rev Sam Smellie, is responsible for giving spiritual guidance and support to seafarers in distress, meeting crew-members, distributing Christian literature and visiting seafarers in hospitals or prisons. He is also available to perform any spiritual task that may be requested by the wider shipping community.
