Fix the hospital road
published: Monday | August 4, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM calling on the relevant authorities, i.e., Parish Council, or National Works Agency, to immediately appoint someone to evaluate and repair the road leading to the Port Antonio Hospital in Portland.

The state of this road is disgraceful; and ill persons requiring medical attention, pregnant mothers in labour and the staff and visitors to this busy institution use the roadway on a daily basis.

Let's not wait until a tragedy occurs before action is taken. The saying goes "prevention is better than cure".

I am, etc.,

LORNA MARSHALL (MISS)

Commodore,

Upper Fair Prospect

Long Bay P.O.

Portland
