Priorities and punishment

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IN A country ridden with crime and an allegedly overburdened justice system and police force, these authorities have nothing better to do than charge Sean Paul for some indecent language at Sumfest?

At a concert for adults in the middle of the night?

Thousands of other crimes get no follow-up in this country, but this little offence does? And even if he gets found guilty, the fines are so small that they cause no deterrent to any DJ.

The authorities need to get their priorities straight and stop this foolishness.

Ridiculous.
