THE NATIONAL Housing Development Corporation (NHDC) is seeking nine managers to fill newly-created posts under its restructuring exercise.
In an advertisement in the local press last week, the corporation advertised for a manager of Finance and General Administration, Human Resource Development, Internal Audit, Marketing and Research, Information Services, Mortgage Services, Project Implementation, Public Relations and Technical Services.
Information Minister, Burchell Whiteman, told reporters at a post-Cabinet press briefing last week Monday that the new appointments would be consistent with the Government's public sector modernisation programme, for "an open and impartial public service."
The NHDC was established in 1998 as a result of a merger of the National Housing Corporation, Caribbean Housing Development Corporation and Operation PRIDE.
A senior manager at the corporation told The Gleaner last week that existing employees would not be affected by the new appointments given that the managers would be filling new posts.
And Minster Whiteman said, the new managers would be required to "improve and rationalise" the services of the NHDC.
