The naked truth
published: Tuesday | August 12, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

In The Gleaner dated Saturday, August 9, and under the caption "Continuing controversy over statues", there is a photograph of the controversial statues.

To the many who have written about the artistic nature of the work, their point is well taken, but let's be honest with ourselves. We see and hear the implications of sex and more sex on the TV, (soap operas, commercials) at the playhouses, at the dance halls and in the papers!

Is it any wonder people react the way they are now doing on seeing "the naked truth"?

I am, etc.,
