Welcome news
published: Tuesday | August 12, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE RECENT news that the National Housing Trust plans to build a four-storey parking lot on prime land it owns, is welcome. But given the status of prime land in that area, wouldn't it be better if the NHT could build a model building that could serve as an example to future developers in a city like Kingston.

It should be a 10- to 12-storey office block, with the first four floors serving as parking area and the other six to eight as offices, etc.

After all, that seems to be trend all over, at least here in Silver Spring.

I am, etc.,
