Expensive airfares

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I'M WRITING in regard to a letter dated July 30th, the grave concern of the writer of which was the very expensive airfare that we Jamaicans living in the Bahamas have to pay when we are going to Jamaica. It's very unfair for us to be paying that much just to go to Jamaica.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade needs to look into this matter. Mr. Butch Stewart needs to take into consideration that what happened on September 11, 2001 was not our fault, so he should not try to make up what he has lost by overcharging us.
