A tragic sign in the Church
published: Thursday | August 21, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

DR. TREVOR Munroe was right in his assertion that the confirmation of Gene Robinson, a practising homosexual, is a tragic sign. Certainly the Episcopalian Church has not only departed from the truth of Scripture, but it maintains an arrogance that is typical of North America and Western Europe.

Even Gene Robinson declared that simply because Scripture states that his lifestyle is wrong, that does not make it wrong. Interesting, coming from a man who would presume to tell others how to live based on the very Scriptures he now holds in contempt.

What we see happening in the Episcopalian Church is nothing more than the evitable result of North America's diabolical preoccupation with their bodily wants.

I am, etc.,
