By Adrian Frater, Staff ReporterWESTERN BUREAU: SEVERAL TOP-FLIGHT dental surgeons from across the world will be congregating in Montego Bay between tomorrow and Saturday for the inaugural staging of the Caribbean Osseointegration Dental Implant Society (CORDIS) Symposium at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, in Rose Hall. The symposium, which is dubbed 'Implant in Jamaica 2003', is sponsored by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and Cordis and is geared towards looking at latest development in the science of dental replants. In addition to various expert presentations, the symposium will feature live surgery demonstration. "Upon completion of the two-day programme, the participants will be able to develop an appreciation for the role of dental implant in the maintenance of oral health," said Dr. Christopher Ogunsalu, the Montego Bay-based Nigerian dental surgeon, who is recognised internationally for his expertise in this field. "They will also develop common techniques and modalities to optimise implant success rate."
