Oh, how they weep!
published: Thursday | August 28, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE TEARS continue to flow in Palestine, Iraq and elsewhere.

The 'unknown' mothers in the village Tuwaitha, Baghdad mourn the loss of their sons as the W.M.D. fall on Baghdad. They are told that this is the price they have to pay for Democracy in a war they did not cause or knew anything about.

Perceived as wrong, a building is destroyed and prominent persons die and it is condemned. Many weep, and the pain of the mothers in Tuwaitha for the loss of their sons are just as great.

And so, one unjust act breeds another unjust act whether it is done here, there or anywhere.

I am, etc.,

VAL MORRIS
