THE EDITOR, Sir:I MUST say thanks for publishing my letter "My Insurance is Hurting."
I have received several responses from persons whom are desirous of assisting me in getting my claim settled in a timely manner.
Those to be thankful for their responses are: Gregory Mair (G. Des-mond Mair Ltd.), Donovan Mayne (Thwaites Finson Sharp Insurance Brokers Ltd.) and Clive Mayers (NEM).
None of them are representatives of my insurer! Though thankful for the support they have all offered I am still left with a bitter taste of injustice lingering inside my mouth.
I am particularly distraught by the fact that, from what I gather from the responses that I have received, persons with "Third Party" insurance do not enjoy the luxury of speedy claim settlement from insurance companies. I am not asking that insurance companies take responsibility for all accidents, neither am I asking for special treatments. What I want to see my insurance company do is exactly what I have now done, stop waiting for results! I want my insurance company to pursue my claim and hand over my cheque.
A question to all insurance companies, "Are our (third party holders) premiums less contributive towards your investments?" Am I to suffer because my insurance premium is a little less than comprehensive insurance?
Eight months gone, how many months left to see justice?
I am, etc.,
