Gleaner clip JUTC 2-1 to reach final
published: Sunday | September 14, 2003

KEMARLO TOMLINSON'S sudden-death extra-time goal led The Gleaner to a 2-1 victory over Jamaica Urban Transport Company (JUTC) in their 2003 Kingston and St. Andrew (KSAFA) Business House Second Division football semi-final at Emmet Park yesterday.

Tomlinson scored seconds into sudden death extra-time and, added to Joseph Campbell's 88th minute equaliser, the media men came away with a hard-fought win and a final berth.

After trailing 1-0 for most of the second half, The Gleaner pushed everyone, including their goalkeeper Andrew Sewell, into attack. Sewell, who left his goalline to patrol the half, made a brilliant overhead pass for Campbell up front to head home for 1-1. In sudden death extra-time, Audley Boyd ran through the JUTC middle before making a through pass to Tomlinson who had to shoot twice before success.

In the Division One semi-final, defending champions Cement Company defeated Wray & Nephew 1-0 at the same venue.
