NHT giving me the run-around

THE EDITOR, Sir:
IN 1996 I was summoned by my daughter to come to Jamaica where we engaged in a business transaction with the National Housing Trust. I was asked to buy a home along with my daughter. At the time I was asked to pay up Housing Trust even though I explained to the Trust representative that I was no longer a resident there. I was subsequently made to pay up US$1000.
Shortly after, I was disqualified by the Trust because of an existing property that I own that was not a Housing Trust property. It was purchased privately. Needless to say the National Housing Trust has held on to my money. Several attempts have been made for the return of my money but to no avail. I have taken trips to this company to retrieve my money but I am always given the run-around.
Mr. Editor, Sir, I have no business with the National Housing Trust. However they refuse to return my money.
